As a family of churches, Vineyard Churches Australia (VCA) has a pastoral responsibility to promote the safe welfare of every person – children, young people and adults – working together to ensure a culture of care and accountability. We are committed to protecting those who are vulnerable or at risk, and to responding swiftly, wisely and compassionately in the event of any allegation of abuse that may take place.
At Vineyard Churches Australia, our commitment to expressing the love of Christ leads to the view that all people should be able to live and work in an environment that is safe and free from abuse or harm of any kind.
Our aim is that every Vineyard Churches Australia event is safe and free from abuse or harm of any kind.
If for any reason you are not happy with any aspect of your experience at a VCA event, we would appreciate hearing from you as soon as is possible so that we can address this matter. Please contact us using one of the following options:
Vineyard Churches Australia values our relationship with you, whether you are a member of a Vineyard church, visitor to an event or community initiative, or a parent of a young person in our children’s or youth programme. It is our hope that your interactions with all staff, volunteers or others in the local church is positive, respectful, and hope filled.
Each local Vineyard Church has their own Safeguarding policies and practices tailored to their activities. To learn more about the Safeguarding measures in place at a local church, please visit their website or contact their church office.
Any concerns or complaints regarding Pastors and the church that they lead, should, in the first instance, be directed to the church concerned. Any complaints received by VCA about a local Vineyard church will be referred to the Board of that church.
However, if you are not satisfied by the response of your local church and wish to bring the matter to the attention of VCA please email [email protected].
