Di Hocking

Di Hocking serves on the Board of Vineyard Churches Australia and is the Lead Pastor of Yarra Valley Vineyard Christian Fellowship.

Born in Melbourne and raised for much of her childhood in northwest Victoria, Di began her professional career as a teacher before responding to God’s call into full-time pastoral ministry in 1994. Around the same time, she discovered the Vineyard movement, which profoundly shaped her understanding of Kingdom ministry and the work of the Holy Spirit. Her pursuit of learning and formation took her throughout New Zealand, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the Philippines, where she was equipped and inspired by Vineyard communities and leaders.

Di joined the Yarra Valley Vineyard church planting team in 1996 and played a key role in establishing and developing worship ministries. Her passion for authentic worship, discipleship, spiritual formation, fostering creativity and raising up leaders has remained a central thread throughout her ministry. Having journeyed with Vineyard Churches Australia for decades, she considers it a privilege to have witnessed God’s faithfulness across the life of the movement.

Di is passionate about helping people encounter Jesus, grow in authentic community, and participate in the life of God’s Kingdom. She is committed to pastoral leadership, developing leaders, and cultivating healthy church environments where people can flourish in their relationship with God and one another.

She values hospitality, belonging, and meaningful relationships, and finds great joy in encouraging people of all ages and backgrounds. Di’s life has been shaped by deep friendships, strong family connections, and the many people she has walked alongside throughout her years of ministry.

When relaxing, Di enjoys exploring new places, experiencing different cultures, attending live music events, and sharing meals with family and friends.
